4th of July Ride

27.5miles with 1580 ft. elevation gain

Where: Hebron Baptist Church, 208 Gore Rd Gore, VA 22637  (Please carpool if you can.  There are two lots at the church, a very small lower lot and a larger upper lot.  To make room for everyone, please park as densely as you safely can.)

When: Start from Hebron Baptist Church at 10:00 AM

What:  This is an out-and-back ride, all on hard surface.  The route is net uphill on the way out and awesomely net downhill on the way back.  There will be a nice rest break with snacks at half-way point (aka THE POND).  This is turnaround point is on private property that is part of the Capon Springs resort.  RE: https://www.caponsprings.net/

(Please note, do NOT take a nature break while on the grounds of the resort.  Folks did this last year and we heard about it through the ownership.  They are graciously allowing us to use their site for ~45mins; we need to be respectful in reply.  There is no shortage of forest along way to the turnaround at the resort...)

Snacks and Ice Cream will be available at the end of the ride.

At this writing we have 72 registered participants (03 Jul 2024).  This is on-schedule to be the largest WW ride so far this year...  If you've registered, you do not need to do so again.
